Help needed ASAP, new car was supposed to be on the road tomorow, but due to bolts snapping off in the manifold (front pipe ones) im going to get a 4-2-1 or something.
What is the best performance exhaust manifold for a X16XE corsa sport?
probably looking +/- £200
Janspeed any good?
There are St. Steel ones on the bay for £200
Dave A any ideas haha

Janspeed are the best with the 4-2-1, iirc they are good for lower to mid range, whereas a 4-1 is upper rev range where you will see gains.
and this si the cheapest place i could find to get one, and i think its a very good price.

thanks for the quick reply dude, do you have that one?, is your car lowered at all? Is that the manifold which sits quite low?

i believe the janspeed is the one that doesnt hit on the floor as it has a good design. i think it is the protech 4-1 that hits the floor regularly.
my car is lowered but funds and other plans have stopped me from getting the manifold, but janspeed would definately be my choice

best ones are these:
made by Vsport £295, mild steel. as used on mine and Brosters cars but they dont directly fit a corsa standard exhaust.

time and time again it has proven to be the best manifold for power gains and to give a good spread of torque accross the rev range when tested back to back on a dyno.

and I dont take credit for the desing, infact I put virtually no design work into the manifold, its a copy of another manifold that is available from a well known tuning company for the bargain price of £480.

Althought that custom manifold looks exquisite, its out of my budget.
Have you tested any cars with janspeed items on Dave?
JR, have you had a Janspeed item on yours?
Thanks

lexmaul seems to be identical to the janspeed from what I have seen, broster will back me up on that probably. its £380 and its made from stainless.

i thought the protech showed better gains (for those chasing bhp) than the btb, sbd, vsport manifolds???...
correct me if im wrong.
(although protech ones sound wank in there standard forms.)

Ordered mine from there and it arrived very quick, cheapest price around too
Very happy with mine, dosent sit any lower then the standard one and I think it has made a nice difference to the way it drives. Picks up much nicer lower down in the revs
this is on a 1.6 16v engine btw

Lexmauls one?
Seriously though, Dave, you had any Lexmaul manifold (exhaust) Corsas come in? Never saw another Lexmaul after Donnas 1.6 one, and always wondered how good they were (due to her power readings). Then i think Janspeed copied the design and made it out of mild steel for under £200 (Lexmaul was like £360 I think).
Just wondered if u'd had any in...
