To get kit cars through the SVA, you need a rubber edging strips on all sharp edges, You may find that an MOT tester asks for it to be fitted to the bottom edge of the tailgate; but tbh I don't think they'd even notice!

They're standard, you would be fitting a non-standard part if you fitted one to a corsa But as said I doubt the tester would notice

So what if he did notice? There are no rules saying that tailgates have to be made of steel

No need for an mot tester to touch or open the boot so doubt they'd notice

fucks sake Dhdev, what I said is valid, the worst they could make you do is fit a strip of rubber edging. I even said I doubt they'd even notice.
Wet/dry would expose the fibres and ruin the structure of the laminate, potentially allowing water ingression or osmosis and causing the entire delamination of the tailgate..........

What a load of toss. I run FG wings, boot and bonnet.
You buy them, the finish is sheeeeeite, u flat them back and paint. During flatting remove any sharp edges and then paint over! Nothing exposed, no Osmosis (FFS) and no MOT fail.

Then you must realise that they require finishing before PAINTING so no exposed edges!

They "shouldn't" need painting at all, the Gel coat first stage of the laminate is the 'Waterproofing, osmosis preventing layer, if the integrity of this is broken, then you do allow the potential delamination of a laminated structure!
A paint finish would only be for aesthetic, cosmetic finish, not for structural integrity.

no, not enough interest tbh - unless you were willing to pay the tooling costs or arrange a big enough group buy to absorb the tooling costs.
CM tends to concentrate on Kit cars as there is a more suitable market, plus don't do a great deal of glass work now; mainly carbon

so if i was to get enough interest (how many we talking needed) would you be willing to do them (eg. say 10 people interested in either product or both)
what kind of price we talking

So you make them with Gel coats in every colour to suit all cars. I stand corrected. Since when is paint purely aesthetic? Paint is a barrier against water and ozone damage.

Just be prepared to paint it as I believe they only do white
