anyone had both the falken 452 and toyo t1-r and can compare them?

i've had the toyos on both my civics and they were superb, but the prices for the falkens is superb for my big pimp ass bitch 20s

falkens are under £600 fitted, toyos are over £800.

what do folk think to the falkens?

Falkens are more of a budget tyre and the Toyo's more of a mid-range tyre. Not really a level playing field to compare the two.

Still, £200 is £200! I know which I'd get.

well the way i see it theres 3 levels of tyres, cheap nasty shiters like nankangs and wanli's, mid range like falken/toyo/etc, and high end like pirelli continental (not even attempted pricing those).

falkens looks like a goer, 350z forum seems to think they're ok too.

I've had the Toyo T1-R and the Falken 452. I found the Toyos to have more grip although they wear down fast!

Had Falkans once, thought they were crap. Also didn't think Toyos were fantastic TBH and most have worn very quickly.

Toyo's are shite, had them on my valver and my Clio came with them.....never again. Only good in the dry end of.

My mates got a 350z and he bought some Budget tyres and last winter he almost hedged it. In the end he went for some decent tyres cam to around £700ish all in. Said it was much much safer!

He's still a pusy and gives the 350z to his brother so he can drive safely in a Lexus over winter though

mytyres is £570 for the falkens, local place is £587 fitted, still to hear back from another local place which is usually cheaper.

reviews on the 350z forum and that tyre review website seem ok for the falkens.

fad your mate is clearly a fairy

I've had both mate. Didn't really rate the Toyo's tbh, but the Falkens were just fucking dangerous in the wet, I would never have them again. Toyo's out of the two, but neither given a wider choice.
