Just watching the Spurs vs Arseanal game pre-kick off banter and they were discussing Wallcot, one guys cant praise him enough and the other hasnt really got anything good to say about him,

Now not cus he plays for Arsenal but i just do not rate him one bit! the guy praising him is saying yeah but hes only 18 blah blah blah , so what? theres other players out there that are his age that i feel are much better!

FOr example Gareth Bale and yeah i know your gonna say im only saying him cus hes a spurs player, but take him for example hes 17 and i feel a much better player?

They having been saying for 2 years now that hes gonna be englands wonder kid but ive yet to see anything from him?

whats other peoples view on him? i know that the Arse-nal fans will praise him, but what about non arsenal fans?

He isnt bad, but do think he is over rated for the little he has proved so far.

having watched a few of his games, i cannot deny he is a fantastic talent, what needs to be remembered is he is only 18, as said on the TV

and arsenal isnt exactly an easy team to break into, he is just needing time to get his head and become more experienced

Gareth Bale is another good player, but there is a difference between breaking into Spurs defence (which by right is shocking) to making it into arsenals front 2

Tbf there's only so much over rated talk due to that rediculous england call up. He looks ok, quite good at times, he's defo not the finished product.

Im glad hes at Arsenal, so many of our future talents are thrust straight into the first team of weak teams and not nututered through the system - if hes not good enough Wenger will let him go

Im sure he will improve but i just think hes so over rated, he is very fast and has got talent, but nothing to what hes made out to be, i agree with what they said on tv he should be progresing faster, it seems in the last 2 years hes not really progressed at all.

I was suprised Arsenal bought him tbh as Wenger doesnt seem to like good young english talent i.e Upson, Bentley, Sidwell, Wright (Richard), Jeffers (lol)

Not as good as all the hype IMO.

If he was as good as everyone made out to be, then he'd be playing week in week out.

I think he would be better off at another team myself, or maybe stayed at Southampton for a few more years.

I think Arsenal is holding his progression back.

I thought he was useless for Southampton against Burnley the few times I saw him. If he didn't have pace he wouldn't have a lot in his locked. Will have to go and play for a side like Spurs I think to get a run

Agreed, Sven made a rod for Walcotts back by selecting him at 17 with no Premiership experience but i'd have to say i've not heard much else 'hype'.

hes ok, people raved about him to much at world cup and he hasnt met the standards people were expecting, but look at someone like rooney, no one had hearsd of him till he scored agisnt arsnal for everton and when he did that nobody had any expetations so he looked amazing (whihc he is)
