I started to go regularly last summer, and really got into it! Was just starting to notice a size difference (3 months) and I just stopped going!

Tonight I'm going back, and intend to keep going on a regular basis. I just don't want the same thing to happen again, what motivates people to stick at it?

Last time, I only stopped going because i missed a day... then another.... turned into a week, and then I just stopped!

Your going ot get abused mate for not posting in the Sports day bit

Its hard to motivate someone else as people are driven in different ways. Me personally, i'm motivated because i dont want to look the same as most normal people and also i love the feeling of going to the gym and the whole jelly legs etc effect afterwards. I also enjoy the pain and aching for days afterwards in my muscles, its more of a lifestyle for me and wouldn't change it, dont want to be a slob who sits round eating crap all day on the PC (i used to be a bit like that)

I motivate myself before and in the g ym with music, i have an iPod shuffle just for the gym which i'll listen to 30min before i go to get my pumped etc, also watch videos on youtube which helps me keep going, i also read websites dedicated to gym/bodybuilding to

Statistically its like 75% likely you'll miss your next work out if you've missed one before it, i've done it befre. I missed 1 day and then thought ahh i'll have the week off, luckily 've only ever gone a week without, over xmas i had 3 and i'm paying for it now, but i had a few injuries i needed to heal!

i find going to the gym with a mate or 2 helps, pushing each other and having a laugh at the same time keeps it from getting boring imo

Exactly same situation as you mate, went 4 times a week with my mate who was well into for around 3/4 months, saw some good gains then he broke his wrist playing football, so I stopped going as I didnt have him nagging me to go all the time.

Just re-joined myself this week, done 2 sessions this week an can hardly move im aching that much

Joined with my brother an all who wants to go all the time, so its motivation for me to get my arse down there as I cant have him being fitter than me

i still disagree...
anyone that needs to search for inspiration/ motivation from a car forum. wont stick at it.

if your going for health, sports, generally to feel better about yourself, then that should be enough motivation on its own.
time will tell though.
