Need to be sensible for a bit so I'm giving it to my mum who is going to trade it on a 2005 Freelander. She had her Astra G GSi written off over Christmas so she needs another car but didn't get enough for a VXR and her GSi was one owner, 20k miles, full leather, sunroof. There was nothing out there comparable so she is moving away from Vauxhall. Would make a nice buy-back for someone to strip but she didn't ask how much as it is a bit of hassle.
Means I get the green Freelander full time which if I'm completely honest is a lot of fun, moreso than being punched in the back every time you go over a bump in the Astra. If you see my other thread the other day you'll see the bargain wheels I'm getting at the weekend which should improve the looks a little. I've also found some cheap X5 17" wheels which I'm going to take the tyres off and use the rims as hose reels as they're worthless to a BMW owner. Tyres a bit bigger than LR fitment which I'm happy about as it will raise the car a little and lower the revs on the motorway. Complete opposite to boy racer stuff, that.
Also getting the Corsa back in Feb so I can start a full months tax. Painted not so long ago, just had a rebuild so that should be running nice. Can't wait to hear that again.

Can't remember seeing any on a white one to be fair. Should imagine that they'd look good.
I'll give you a shout when they turn up

You having a set for yours?
Steve - not sure. I fancy a snorkel and some guards but also I do want a proper car again at some point so I might still trade that in the summer and buy a Disco for playing.
See what bits come up cheap really.

Matt I've got Turbo rims to go back on so I'll do that. Also might change the springs back to standard ones and Ebay the lowered ones.
So no rush on you coming over, they'll wait. Did you decide how much you don't want to pay yet?
I've no idea....

Corsa? They're meant to go on the corsa, but It may be sold by the time the lights get here.
Not sure what i'm doing with it yet. I'm pretty sure i'm buying an astra gsi next month, may keep the corsa.

Well if you get stuck you'll certainly move the lights on easy enough.

Ya, best do that. Might give it a clean tomorrow, see what time I'm away from work.
I do love the Astra and I will miss it but I have a longer term plan which involves being sensible in the short term and then buying something better later. The reason I didn't want to swap the Astra is that there's nothing comparable that isn't considerably more expensive.
It was either this or my mum struggle to find something she likes, so I thought it best to go this way.
Edit - Matt you need to try it, its ace.
