Just been to pick up our new van, never thought I'd drive anything that was worse than my Corsa for picking up speed on the motorway

Never drove a proper van before, only an Escort van and a Partner. These are so different when you get upto speed, it's almost impossible to keep em there, learned a bit about slipstreaming on the way on the way home

Couldn't be bothered getting any proper pics so this one'll do

Quite a few people have said that, it's nippy enough round town, but I managed 73 on the way home, hit a hill and it's back down to about 60

Not sure, it was some builder's, when we first saw it we just seen the front and was like it's clean, then we saw the sides, looked as if he'd just polished the front

That's what I was on about with the slipstreaming, I was behind a Vivaro on the motorway and I couldn't overtake, I was doing probably about 1/4 of a mile an hour faster, but didn't wanna slow down cos then you've gotta try and speed up again, so you have to stick behind em, then when you're getting close, the slipstream kicks in and pulls you faster then you stay there as long as poss then pull out and overtake

Our's is only the 2.3d

Everyone I've mentioned it to before we picked it up was saying that Sprinters were rapid, think we got one of the slow ones

I love it

I expected to hate it. We had a £500 Primera before and I hated that, it was just so boring, so I was expecting this to be worse but it's quite fun

I'll hopefully be putting a CD player in it tomorrow, the fella chucked it in cos with the standard radio you have to put the code in everytime you start it so get that sorted and try and sort out the passenger seat belt bolsters cause none of em work, then it's just a matter of cleaning out the back, adding our shelves, and give it a bit of a polish if I can be bothered, although we all know how unlikely that is and it'll be good to go

We're only looking to have it for about 12 months, till we can afford something newer and better, we paid less than a grand for it, so it was quite a bargain too, most are going for around £1500+

When the next one comes along tho, you never know I get bored easily
