and full respray.
total cost.....
2500!!! gtf im not paying that much!!! surely thats a tad too high!

If its a full respray then its very time consuming, as they have to strip bits to paint the shuts etc

the bumpers were silver before and wasnt a good spray (thats where the cat d damage came in!!) and also theres a few scratches.... i like perfect paint work!!

the full respray is what is making it so expensive, for a top quality full respray youd be looking at around 2k imo possibly less.
edit: i was also told the other day by the bloke that does all the spraying on mine & familys cars says the price of paint is going up soon due to some government ledgislation saying they have to use certain paint

You get what you pay for. I'd rather pay more and get a wonderful finish the first time, than skimp on the price and get a shite job that'll need redone in the future.

thats bullshit mate,
my mate had his bonnet and bumper sprayed on a civic type R black which has metalic flakes and stuff in it and it was a perfect match
Just get the bits that need doing done..
Oh and my ibiza door shuts everything apart from engine bay, resprayed, and colour coded, plus a bit of repair to the roof for 1.1k, but we did have to remove everything or selves, lights, bumpers etc then he picked it up. The work on it is very good apart from it not being mopped after so its slightly orange pealy, but we g3'ed a wing and finessed a wing and its come up great so just need to do the whole car 
So it can be done well and cheap'ish

If because of the scratches you want a full respray. Paintwork Correction is another option. This removes 90% of swirl marks (depending on the severity) and achieves better results than a respray anyway. On a 106, id charge around £300 for 2 days work!

Yeah as Dan said, a detailer has offered to get my rid of all orange peal even though its just me being picky and all fine scratches for 170 pounds but mine probably isnt as bad.
Id get a detailer to give a quote on the scratch removal, and just get the bumpers resprayed and save yourself alot

yeh might look into that mate,,, is that like getting it mopped? thing is there is a deep scratch and shit touchup by the door which is probally not fixable without a respray.
i just spoke to the guy who done my bodywork on the corsa and he said thats a rediculous price and will come back to me with a price .. so we will have to see lol

yeh it doesnt need a full respray just things like stone chips on arches and few scratches... bumpers defo need a respray tho there the worst, can see where it was a sliver bumper before (in by the arches )
but i cant complain really cus i got the car really cheap!

In theory no. Without sparking the usual debate about G3 etc, paintwork correction when done properly, refines the finish to near perfection. Its amazing how many cars i detail which have just come from a body shop. I work with classic cars, and so the finish on the paintwork (in tms of defects like scratches, swirls, holograms etc) has to be perfect, and this is exactly what youll get.

you say you like perfect paint and want a full respray, first time you go out, there'll be stone chips on the front and sides over time, plus you won't dare park it in a supermarket in case somebody dings the door. etc etc. I wouldn't bother. Looks ok as is, wasted expense imo.
