1.6 vs 2.0 front end weight..
Just interested really, not interested in 'i think its this or that' or 'my mate says this' Just want to know, from someone who has weighed their car
1.6 front 'axle' weight
2.0 front 'axle' weight

All I know, is ideally I'd want a car, that had an engine in it, that was designed to be in it.

No offence intended at all. I can definitely see the appeal with an XE'd Corsa. Of course, all that power in such a small car. But it just felt fast.
If it was a tuned and stripped Corsa, I may have a different outlook.
The pull of a straight 6 up to 155mph is much more interesting imho.

I've had three X16XE's, my Bro has a Valver, drove my brothers to see how it handled as he doesn't like chucking it around corners, all I can say is - There is no difference. They both handle the same as each other.

Dave A weighed it properly IIRC, think there was a nominal difference, 20-30kg's or so,

Didn't Willay have his car corner weighted and setup, he might have the data from that still?

folk say they don't handle well, but what do you expect for a corsa with some generic shocks and springs. if there was a set of arb's, everything was adjustable etc and it was setup properly, it would be fine, slapping on a set of gmax 60mm springs and shocks of course it'll be shite.

I'd rather have a VTS than an XE'd corsa. If I were going for a engine coversion, it would have to be a C20LET.
