just took my rear springs out as im getting some new ones, what mm is it equal to as it is now, sits a tiny but higher than the wheel...

tis abit low...

there sitting on the bump stops yer..

cant believe its sitting this low and doesnt catch the arch...

i know someone who took his springs out and drove from yorkshire to santa pod.when i say drove, i mean bounced

measure the distance from the centre of the wheel to the underside of the arch, I will tell you how low it is.

ive got spax rsx coilovers...

and its 21cm from the centre of the wheel to the top of the arch...

what do you mean by underside..

ive measured from the centre of the wheel to the lip of the arch..

about 120-130mm lower than standard then.

How safe is it to drive without rear springs? If you took it easy could decent rear shocks like Bilstein cope?

its a silly thing to do, will kill rear dampers in no time and if youy had to swerve to avoid something it could be a handfull.

most shocks wont take over 90mm (need at least 40mm of travel in the shock)

just drove down to my mates house (only down the road) and its horrible with no rear springs...

scraped on every speed bump quite bad, backbox is about 5mm off the floor...

and now the arch is level with the wheel, so gone down about 5mm more now..

im selling my 90mm rears to get 100mm rears, but realy hope its not going to be like this....

where does the arch sit with 100mm rears in? obviously higher than it is now?

mark's bother's is lowered 100mm, and the arch was inline with the top of wheel lip..

that was on 15" cesaro's

i think his was 110mm springs, but still i dont see how i can be that low and have travel, as mines about that now on the bump stops....
