I always go by parkers/glass guide.
Anyway Id say a cat d is worth about 2/3 of a non cat d car in similar condition!!
How much did you pay for it?

That is soooo nice
Put it back to standard and I recon 2k is a fair price becuase it's CAT D.
Quick question, does it have IR or RF central locking

I know, its all due to the current "climate".
New tax rules are putting people off anthing except a 1.1 106 registered 2001+. GTi's are going to be £310 to tax for a year
Also, anything that doesnt sip petrol isnt doing too well on the used market at the moment .
TBH, on the up side, there is big talk about the tax rules being softened and the current 5p loss in petrol prices

lol thing is i bet alot of peoples cars have had dings etc and done the work privately... the front bumper was all cracked, windscreen cracked, wing and door all mashed.... thats what gave it a cat d ... thats fuck all, yeh if it was cat c then it would change my opinion but for cosmetic damage only.....

Exactly, my Ibiza, 14k new, not worth more than 4.5k now. same age, more toys, more economical.
I know you dont seem to care mate, but other people dont want "written off" cars.

True but its the label thats stuck on it not the damage. A cat d is always going to be harder to shift/worth less. Its a risk to any potential buyer so the risk needs softened with the price!!

tbh cat d repaired cars dont tend to go for much less that std examples and even less so on sportier/rarer cars.
I would say it should sell for around the 2,8 region.
