Shouldn't cost that much. You need to phone around and start telling lies about what other companies are offering you, play them off against each other.

No it doesnt. Or atleast, shouldnt.
Ring loads of companies up, easiest way.
Is that on your own name or parents?

yep, put your mum down as a second driver even if she will never drive it, i still do it and i have 3 years no claims and still get money off. i got £300 off last year by putting my mum down as a second driver and she didnt drive it once

If your going to spend 2500 on insurance on a car then you might aswell but a car worth spending that much money on insurance, when i passed my test i paid 5500 to be insured on a 206 GTi, which is alright considering it cost 3600 to drive a 1.6 307

I supose its because they think that the named driver will be driving half the time, which brings down the risk by 50% if you know what i mean

Do you think it would be better for me to go third party as opposed to fully comp. Because i'm getting my corsa at a great price from a mate. £450. So it's not like I'd be bad wounded if I shafted it against a tree or something?

I think what I need to do, is fanny around on 'go compare' and try the things you have mentioned to lower the premium. Because seriously, £2500 is killer insurance on a Corsa!!

Yep And I've never regretted it, all my mates were driving Crappy poverty spec slow Car's with no mod con's and crappy interiors like 1.2 8v corsa's
And i was driving a driving a 2.0 GTi with suede and leather interior A/c on a 51 plate car and never had a problem with it whereas all my mates banger's were breaking all the time

Keep looking around you will find it cheap.
Even my sister her first car was a saxo vtr and she was only paying £800 with brentacre.
