if you have a oil rated at
5w 40
10w 40
15w 40
20w 40 these oils are the same thickness, the w rating means cold cranking which is measured in centistokes but if you have a oil that is rated at 10w 40 and a 10w 50 then the 10w 50 is a thicker oil

hey daz1985
what i said about the oil is not a copy and paste,
question, how do you know when it is time to change your engine oil,
also what happens to your oil on short journeys also
what cases engine oil to go black quick,
what is classed as severe operating conditions for a vauxhall engine
