Some waxes such as the Dodo Juice range use specific oils and levels of waxes that work with a specific colour to enhance the gloss, metallic flake etc etc.

Dodo Purple Haze / Blue Velvet, but neither will last more than a couple of months.

Collinite 476s to last a logn time (around a year if 2-3 coats applied)

Just spent 3 hours cleaning, clay bar, wax then polish. Arms are killing me

Whats the best polish/wax to use on star silver? Any good ones.
Gunna have to park my car else where in my works car park as it gets too dusty where it is now

try polishing, then waxing to seal the polish in

Makes next to no difference to the finish!

I'm sure my Victoria Concours leaves a tiny bit of extra gloss but TBH it could all be me imagining it

Best off going for durability!

its not that, my car is always well polished and waxed, its just a fail to see how a wax would work better on 1 colour that another,

just for the record i use AG SRP and AG hi def wax on my car

Polish it first then wax it, then when it gets dusty etc all you need to do is hose it off. My work car park is in the middle of a boat yard and really dirty, all it needs is a quick hose down now and then now I've waxed it

i have just bought poorboys black hole and used it the weekend followed by the wax you get with the clay bar kit and my car came out looking like that corsa

Yep as said mate, polish then wax. Most polishes bring out the metallic flake in silver well. Collinite 476s is a good all round wax that lasts well. Jetseal 109 or Poorboys EX-P (sealants) also bring up metallic colours well.

Spotted your car again today when I was on the way down to Fareham

I rate dodo waxes over alot of others I've tried they seem to give a much deeper / wet look shine
