Fee - this is your fault...

I want a cheaperish trackcar to use more regularly than the skyline, and so I dont get acused of breaking 'my' car for Fee's racing

1995 M3 - track prepped

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/746637.htm

decent spec etc for a turnkey track car, would pref a diff colour and 3doors though

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1997 S2 1.6 8v 106 rallye

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/746637.htm

nice colour etc... cheaper to run/maintain which is a bonus.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1997 306 GTi6

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/703797.htm

I like it... good spec, but enough left to do to keep me busy

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Honda ITR

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/748005.htm

bit of work needed...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

205 GTi 1.9

fond of them, but seems a bit daft buying a very similar car to the one we sold a wee while ago for about double the price

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/746967.htm

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1989 Corrado 16v

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/735935.htm

Not really track oriantated, so potentially a lot of work...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I want them All!!!

BUT i really think i want one of these...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUBARU IMPREZA TYPE RA (1997)

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/326744.htm

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

wrx sti type r 2 door (1997/R)

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/676795.htm

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUBARU IMPREZA STI V4 IN STUNNING WHITE (1997)

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/757381.htm

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

just aware of the extra costs in running these hard on track compared to lightweight hatch for example!

a stripped and caged Impreza is sounding good though... I cant do all the cage pish myself etc and weight saving is Free!

For cheap thrills and sheer hoon factor, the 106! But I'm newly biased Stick a 16v in there, get some tb's on it and it will shame most of what you've just shown! But for a slightly sensible option, I'd say the RA.

Yeah I've seen your 205 before, so you wouldn't get another? Personally I would try and get that clio for cheaper, nice little weapon, or the 106

I loved the 205.... but just think I'd get tired of another. Maybe not.

We used to have an Impreza but didnt really give it much stick. A few trackdays etc.

I just have a feeling a hot hatch is going to be too slow, with not enough (cheap) scope for going faster.

An M3 / Impreza etc is fast before you tinker.... a 106 rallye is going to be fighting a losing battle in that aspect. You'll have to spend a fair bit to keep up with a basic trackspec impreza. (decent drivers in both cars of course)

Fee currently laps KH about 10s a lap quicker than a 205Mi16 (not mental spec or anything)..... I think I (we)'d want something thats not much slower than the skyline.

Why not one of them?

Quick, brilliantly balanced and won't be slow!
