My mate has built this over the last year or so and now hes selling it and im thinking about buying it..

Its got a escort rs2000 engine in it from his old escort with 80,000 odd miles on the engine.. its had a recent full respray, its got lsd gearbox, fully poly bushed front and rear, anti-roll bars, full recaro interior and so on..

it will come with a years mot aswel, so..

How much you think its worth because if i buy it then it will be the first ford i have ever bought and i dont know anything about how much they go for, how cheap/easy they are to repair etc

needs a set of cossie rims in silver on there. watch out for usual rust on rear arches, parts are fairly cheap and easy to come by. make sure the lsd pulls well etc

Little 1300 Azura at a guess. Rust around the fuel cap won't be an issue as it's a mk3.5, so should have a flap, not a cap, arches will still be a potential problem.

The RS2000 engines aren't anything amazing either.

Looks like it has Turbo/RS1800 Recaro's as well.

150bhp as standard Robin? Even more so with the EGR valve removal, wouldn't write them off as a bad engine.

I love my RS, probably the best car I've bought.

They're not a 'bad' engine, but they're not amazing. The Zetec is a better engine in a lot of ways.

It's like a Corsa XEV, it's good, but it could be better with a similar, but different engine...

It'll still be a good laugh, don't get me wrong.

Arches, sills, floor pan, all potential problems. Rust are the killers on fiestas. Get it HPI checked too.

Yes what I meant was, isn't it the silver top engines out of the earlier Mondeos that had the 150bhp engines?

its had the egr valve removed, it wont have any rust what so ever as it was completly stripped and everything sorted.. its had no expense spared and everything has been done properly, not quickly and rushed.. was originally a 1.1
