Picked up this feisty little 206 gti yesterday. Generally in great condition, and completely standard too. Will be my weekend toy for the time being and in the future will either be rallied or turned into a track car. That is after the cams and throttle bodies go in

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

They are really cheap now, 136bhp in a fairly light shell. Will start seeing more of them at tracks I reckon now.
Good purchase.

Good strong engine as well, quite a few on the rally circuit now. With a healthy 200bhp and LSD, they go like shit off a shovel.

People are stupid, disregard cars well before there sell by date, just because it doesn't have a 07 or 08 on the number plate daddys girls don't tend to want them so get sold off real cheap.

In the trader. Was a toss up between that and a 106 gti, but that was miles away. Might get a 106 aswell, awesome car and you can never have too many, Ive been used to having 3 cars for ages and dropped down to 1 for a while so will be nice to fill my garage again

Nice price,
I sold my 2000 (X) GTi for £2800 a couple of months ago, bloody great price considering what they are going for now.

Saw one of these this monring when getting new tyres fitted. Had an interesting window sticker....
"face of an angel mind of a slut"
There were quite a few longman converted ones back in the day when new.

Looks almost the same mine when I got it a few years ago, they're good fun cars.
If you need any ideas etc there are a few 206 sites to.
Mine is still for sale everyone
