Author My car is knocking on the right side. Help!!

have this horrible knocking on my right side on my corsa sport, had the shocks done and new coils aswel, only had 1 shock done tho that one on the right side, could somebody help me in my sticky position im in.

balljoint it is then, actually on mine it did the knocking as well and i changed both track rod ends and it cured it, also a loose brake calliper can make this noise too as it happened to me as well.

might just take it to a garage to be safe, the noise is on the back side is it still the ball joint??

ive had the spring changed and the shock absorber done to is the rubber mount different??

If changing the springs and dampers has introduced the problem I would first be asking the people who fitted those what they thought of it.

the noise was there b4 they fitting them and the problem is still there and i just cant get rid of the noise, what could be wrong??

not its not been lowered just had new spring and shock abs on the and its still there??

Could be many things.

CV joint wear would also sound like that to the untrained ear, except that you would generally hear that under partial acceleration or engine braking.

You really need it up off the ground so you can get under it and check for clean bits where parts are contacting or swing off stuff to check for play. Don't pull it off the jack.

Also - you say you have only changed one shock and left the old one on the other side? I wouldn't be comfortable with that myself.
