..Looking at CS now, are there actually more members without a Corsa than with? Say in 5 years time I'm guessing the number of B's will drop off a bit like Novas. Will there ever come a time with a Corsa owning member on here will be like rocking horse shit??

B's are getting too old for people to buy even as cheap runabouts, not sure why there aren't more C's.

The new generation are possibly facebooking about it instead.

i think more people will be arriving on here with corsa D's and with corsa C's really being cheap now they will one day become the chav's ride of choice much like the corsa B has

I think at some point CS needs to divide into sub forums for different types of corsas, in order to attract the C and D owners, as traditionally CS has been more of site for B's

I think thats a bad idea tbh! Dont think things should change its simple and easy to use!

Will stick with corsa b's for now anyway!

I found out the other night that a LET B I know is being stripped, he was on about scrapping the shell too

I sort of wanna buy it off him cause I know it's mint but I haven't got a. the money b. anywhere to put it c. anything to use it for.

Just seems wrong a perfectly clean shell might be going to scrap

The corsa b for me now is like the nova was when i started to drive back in 04.

Lets be honest they were getting on a bit then with the oldest being what? 20 years old? Also it was hard to find a decent one knocking about

Look at b's.. they came out in what 93-94? Theyre starting to get on a bit aswell now and you stuggle to find an unmolested gsi in good condition.

Theres also the "chav" tag and the image of boy racers, burberry and caps..
So hardly suprising there not really "down with the kids"

Look at the market though aswell.. theres lots of newer cars out there in better condition and with more options for similiar money..

Im probably talking rubbish.. but its all just my opinion..

I think the chav and corsa thing has gone around here.

There isnt many b's around, and ive notice the decline since i got mine in 2007.

Lads are thinking it coolers to buy newer cars now days than to buy older ones and do them up, which i think use to be the craze a while ago.

I think the other thing, is what with Finance/Loans more easily available for younger people, they don't just stick with what they can afford at the time, eg. a cheap car and mod that. They just get a that car and make monthly payments. Even in the time I've been on the road (4 years or so) more and more younger people are getting newer cars, it used to be that you had rich parents if you had a new/new-ish car!

Corsa B's are still the nuts though

I never used to like C's, but now ive seen a few, (to mention a name such as Stavs/Iain M) they do look ace! I started in a B and love them, but I have to agree with Kurt

well guy's am staying put cause i'll allways have a corsa b

corsa's will get like nova's in a way cause they'll be mostly owned by enthuiast's and thats a good thing look at png for example we still feel the chav vibe when we're out and about but the way i see it tho is we spent more money keeping on top of the condition of our corsa's than say the 17 year old just past his test chase the limiter ponch in his "brand new" punto

Its good in a way that they are becoming more uncommon as there will be less examples of good condition well modified ones.

So having a good example of one come shows etc will be good

I don't think the Corsa will end up being a classic like the Nova, the Nova had motorsport heritage and LOTS of performance models

SR 1.3, SR 1.4, Sport, GTE, GSi, SRi, the Sport being the cream of the crop.

as mentioned the car market and finance options have advanced. So young people sensibly buy newer cars, they might have cottoned on to how much money they are likely to piss up the wall on lexus lights so spent the extra on something that drives well out the box and wont need welding to keep it roadworthy with all mod cons.

Im suprised they arent cheaper than they are (b's) as soon as a late plate sport in decent nick hits the 1k mark i will have a new runabout

I've noticed this.

Likewise i've noticed a demise in the amount of people actually modifying a car these days.

U'll find more and more B's either going one of 3 ways.

Stay a granny car till it dies
Chav'd up to the max, with the worst lights and bumpers u've ever seen
Hardcore vx fans that'll turn them into weapons (XE, LET sleepers etc).

Corsa C changed things, gone all electrical unlike the Nova/CorsaB which were very simple to work on.

The sport really wes a beast, i mean how many cars had twin 40's as standard and in the option list you could get an irmscher upgraded cam
