Who gets their 8 hours a night? I can't sleep no earlier than 11pm, body doesn't let me. And tonight's gonna be another long night even though I got work at 8am, and it does affect me the following day! Anyone else got work soon?

I really need to sort mine out! Problem is mainly due to not having a fixed start time. Some mornings it's 9.30, others i have left at 5am.

Plan is not to get into bed before 12 and get up around 7.30.

I have a shit sleeping pattern, I won't go to bed before 12, usually once I've gone to bed I watch telly, depending on what's on I can be watching it till about 3 then get woke up by my brother at about 9, fall back asleep, get woke up again then get up. This means we're only going to work at gone 10 o'clock, which is quite annoying, we should be going earlier.

I tried to sort it out a bit ago, started going to bed at 12, no telly then up at 7, it worked for a while but then the cold weather come along which meant I'd get up at 7 knock my alarm off and get back in bed cause it was freezing, which meant getting up later again and that's led to going to bed later to compensate

If I have more than 7 hours I'm knackered till about mid afternoon the following day, whereas 7 or less I'm alright unless it gets down to like 2 hours, then I'm perfectly awake when I get up but I just wanna sleep again after a few hours.

3-5 seems to work best for me but I need an early start, if I don't get up early, I could sleep till 12-1 o'clock no problems, but I'd be dead the rest of the day, that's how most of my weekends get ruined

Usually go to bed between 2 and 5 and get up by 8, never get 8 hours. Is there any need if you feel fine?

I used to do this when i was at uni. Think the traveling is fucking me up

Always tired. Another thing i've noticed is i get a lot worse when i eat. I'm thinking i need to get my blood sugars checked.

See how the regular sleeping pattern goes first though..

Some study a while back said getting anymore than 7 1/2 hours shortens your life anyway.

The sleep I remember as being my best ever was a few years back, got to sleep at about 3, woke up at 6 and went straight out for a round of golf, I was fine when I woke up and didn't feel tired till late on on the night

I used to be snoozing by midnight/1am and up at 7am. I used to feel fucked 1st thing in the morning but other than that I was fine.

Over x-mas my sleeping patern got fucked up by spending a lot of time on my uncles couch/ floor, aswell as struggling to sleep when I was in my own bed. Now I cant get to sleep until 2/3am and up at 7am still and I'm fucking knackered all the time. Just can't seem to nod off so end up on here

I sleep till whenever I want most days as I don't have to wake up for work because of nights. I just go to bed anytime from 5-7am and sleep till at least 1, depends if I have anything to do during the daylight. I like my sleep.

as discussed in the last sleep thread, i bought some Nytol one a night tablets the other day. i tried them on wednesday night. i was pretty tired when i took it at about 10:30 and was in bed for 11. managed to sleep til about 4:30 and then was in and out of sleep for 2 hours until i got up. i was very tired when i got up though and didn't start feeling awake til 10 am ish. i'm not convinced that sleeping tablets are the way to go.
