It pulled the notes back in to the machine after you had withdrawn them?

Did it happen because you didnt take the money quick enough....so it took it back? (because it thought you'd walked off without it)
If so, i wouldnt worry, it'll all be logged in a database somewhere as to how much it took back and when...so you'll get it back.
As for how long....i dunno

Crap. Still...i think you'll be fine. You called the bank helpline yet? (assuming it was an actual highstreet bank cash point)

I then rang my bank and expressed my discontent with having to go to a fucking local branch to fill in a form to get my money back in 7-10 days. Then the scottish cunt on the phone told me with his funny accent that he can offer me an overdraft so i said ok how much? he said he doesnt know I have to pick a number. So after 5 or 6 attempts at me guessing at a fucking number and also saying "I give you loads of money every month and you can only offer me HOW MUCH?" we sorted it out and now i have an overdraft which i'll never use cause i'm a cunt like that.

I'd have waited and seen what happened with the next person that tried, it might have been there weren't enough notes? Or say you asked for £50 and there were no tenners?

happened to me about a year ago... was withdrawing money, at a cashpoint in the local shop, during the transaction the screen froze and said error while it was counting the money...
so the money didnt come out but it had been taken from my account... neway, next day went to the bank n told them wat had happened...
about a week later the money was refunded back in my account

Happened to me, I just had to wait a day and it went back into my account, would be annoying if it was your last bit of cash though!

yeah i've still got more cash and stuff but I've just had a long day in a hot office listening to stupid cunts who should give up their job to people who actually deserve it and know what they are doing. Then I sat next to Big Fat Sweaty Guy on the train and the train was also hot , my elbows kept nudging his fat when I was trying to turn the page, then I get to my local station and the cash machine decides to take my money away from me.

I was once behind someone who used the cash point, got their card & walked off leaving £50 hanging out of the machine. He didn't notice the money at all
