. . .and I'm talking about the most memorable car. It has to also be a car that you remember, before you really knew about cars, so don't really know the spec of it, how quick it was etc.

We had a Vauxhall Cavalier 1.8i Colorado 5dr in Flame Red - it was K reg with 90bhp. It never let us down and we got it before it was 3 years old. And, it had a CD player which was amazing, except we had no CD's to play

I thought it was the bees-knees because it had the Vauxhall badge in the grill, unlike my mates parents GL which wasn't a face lift, having the badge on the bonnet

It was like this, but K-reg and in Flame Red.

The one that stands out for me is when my dad had a Metalic Silver Cavalier GSI 2000 with the red top in it. Back then it was a rocket ship! It got stolen and recovered twice so he got rid and bought a land Rover Discovery.

Havnt got any pics but 1 car i will always remember is my old mans old XR2.Was white with 15" RS 7 spokes.
Had the Ford blue oval on the bonnet and at an angle on the rear quarters/windows.Sounds pretty rank but 10 years ago it looked decent.
And it was a quick wee fuker.Id have 1 if i got the chance.

My Dad had a couple of Sprites like this

The one that really sticks in my mind was the big red fun bus though. It was a Volvo V70 estate this shape but not the fast one -

I also thought the Cavalier was rear wheel drive, because I could only apply the principles of a bicycle to a car, couldn't get my head round power and steering at the front. Oh how wrong I was.

Got to be one of these

A vw passat, was extremely rare when they had it, probably only 2 around here and hardly ever seen another. Never went wrong for them and it was the sport model they had, with alloys and a 2.0 engine.

Sutton bank. What a laugh that road is. I often go to kirkby-moorside to perry slingsby, givin the van death up that hill FTW You live near by? Some stunning roads around there! Went up a few days after it had snowed a couple of months back! Looked mint!

Anyways, my dad bought a brand new.....wait for it.....romantic red....yes it was indeed...a skoda felicia

It had just come out at the time, and i remeber my dad ragging its brand new engine as soon as he drove it out the show room

1.3 glx - I. The i makes the difference. It had optional alloys wheels, and because it came third in the rallying, he got given a bright grey/grey jacket with skoda on it

I remeber picking the reg plate - P678 FNN

Never serviced......did about 90 on the limiter, and it kept cutting out atfter someone drove into it. No wonder it were fooked at 90k

As if i remeberd that

My parents had a H reg Fiesta 1.6S in Red. H186 VGJ was the Reg

It had spotlamps on the front and beige wheel trims. I thought it looked so awesome.

My mum had a burgandy Austin Metro City D502 EOR. She passed when I was in infant school and was her first car.

My first memory was my dad's Red Seat Ibiza. It was a 1.3 and he bought it spankers, the only car he's ever had new.
I loved it because it had a single wiper and a little Porsche sticker (They developed suspension or something on it aapparently ) G837 VBP

One that sticks in my mind the most is my Dads Mk2 Cav SRI 130. In that strange red colour, it wasn't a proper bright red. More like a burgundy. Same as the one Fazza posted further up the page.

We had a Passat that was identical to the one Bonney66 posted. The most memorable one though was the gold Fiat X1/9 my Dad had. The keys got lost down a drain I think, and it cost more to replace the locks than the car was worth so we sold it to some Fiat geek who dragged it away on a flat bed

as fuck. I think the saddest part of the story was it got replaced by a bloody Volvo 760 estate that broke down all the time.

I just ended up doing stupid speeds everywhere though, just wanting to get back!
