my drive is still covered in LOADS of ice n snow..
whats best way of getting it all clear without the use of salt, flamethrower

am i going to spend my evening with a spade ?

Shovel it off

We put rock salt down on ours, but then you have to sweep it up after the snow has melted otherwise it looks a mess...

I cleared our drive way once. Except it didn't go to plan and just ended up compacting the snow, which made it a bit treacherous.

On our drive, when the cars are moved, the drive is cleared. Easy as that

Only problem with that would be when or if it goes icy tonight, it gets a bit dangerous
