Just got pulled over for doing average speed of 114mph.

Got to goto court. Whats the likely outcome? has anyone else been in a similar situation?

You will have to wait up to 6 months for the court summons and just plead guilty and say you're sorry...

Doubtful you'll just get points.

Expect a 28 day ban and no need to retest.

101.4 mph and court summons got me only 6 points and £150 fine.

I would definately expect a ban. But you can't put a figure on it as it will be down to the judges discretion.

Hopefully you'll learn from this and say hello to nice insurance premiums when you get your license back

Will be 6 points and a sub £500 fine then.

I highly doubt you will loose your card seeing as you have had it over 2 years and have no prior points

doubtful it'll just be points... he'll be lucky if that's all he gets.

I reckon a very small ban like max 28 days... and £300 fine. Probably without points at all.

Thing is, it's worth just being honest and admitting you were wrong - don't try to justify it like 'I was running late, or needing a pee' etc. It'll just piss the courts off. At the end of the day 'there is no excuse for excessive speed' in the laws eyes.

I got caught doing an average of 93 on the A96.

I got 6 points and a £255 fine.

Down on my licence as a CD30 which is,

"Driving without due care and attention or without reasonable consideration for other road users."

For an average of 114, I predict a ban, or at least 9 points.

P.S. there's a website somewhere which lists all punishments handed out to people for SP60's and what speeds they were doing...

As you approach the 100 mph marker people start getting small bans, under about 104 mph some people still get just points... but after that most are small bans of 'days'.

It depends what you plead for, if you beg to keep your license as you need it for your job, then you may get more points and larger fine instead of a small ban, but to be honest - just taking a few day ban with no retest will probably be better in the long run.

The more you squirm and try to shirk it, the harder they will be on you.

You need to admit from the off what you did and you may get away with a lenient ban such as 28days
