I was just sitting in my living room and i hear a fair bang on the window to the right of me. As i look round i see a small cloud of feathers following this little bird to the ground. I look outside and i can see a little bullfinch (or something) flappin about like an epileptic.
I kinda feel sorry for the little bugger, as i know its gonna become a meal for a cat in the next half hour and theres pretty much nothing I can do.

why don't you practise bird operations on it so you know how to fix the next one?

Go help it then, move it to a safer area.
Unsure of the population of these up north, but we don't have them down south.
Sorry, im a nature person.

Went out armed with a box and a dustpan to pick the bird up and put him in the box, so i could then relocate the bird (who I decided to call Wilson as he's my only friend) to a safer place i.e. higher than a cat can get to or see.
So, i place the box down, and he just jumps onto it and looks at me...
Enter the healing hands of BluKoo...
Don't you think he's looking better already?
He certainly thought so. He decided to flutter away and rest in a nearby bush.
So, Wilson left me, and i'm all alone again

It happens all the time to my bedroom & kitchen window, I don't understand it myself. I still have an imprint of one of the birds from a month ago, the wingspan is huge, no wonder it woke me up

Well done
Not thats it matters or your bothered in the slightest, but im really pleased you done that
Clearly dazed and confused. The mear fact you got near him shows that. He's fluttered into the bush so it'll be fine now. He wouldn't fly anywhere at all, u'd notice the wing was damaged.
Think its just a case of running into a wall at full speed Stupid bird.
Go get yourself a beer as a reward

I had a pidgeon do this on my window once.
Left blood on my window - flopped onto conservatory roof - rolled into the tree - then the cat got it
