Known for a long time now, and some people im close to know as well, but im sick of avoiding replying to threads without mentioning it etc so i thought i would just let everyone know...

Anyway, back in June this year, Mrs Jambo who had not been feeling well for a long time went to the Docs.

Anyway they diagnosed her with Leukemia

So she has been having Radio and Chemo therapy for a fair few months now, its horrid to watch someone you love affected with a disease like Cancer. She is so brave its ridiculas, i just dont know how she can keep going at work etc.

So err, yeah not good news for Mrs Jambo.

Treatment is working slowly, but its al ong battle with something like this.

Just thought you all should know

I found out last weekend that my uncle has some cancer of the lung which is making all the lung cells fail, the doctors have given him a max of 2 yrs to live with no treatment available to cure

He told us while we were having a 'family get together'. Was such a blow - especially when he was talking about something to do with the Olympics and I was thinking 'shit, if the doctors are right, you won't be here!'.

Makes me appriciate life a bit more and appriciate my parents, thinking 'what if this was my dad who'd just got this'

I really feel for you mate, it's not going to be easy.

Be sure to give Mrs Jambo a big hug from all at CS, and anything else you feel is appropriate, try not to picture us too much whilst you are though.

Know how you feel mate, had cancer few years back worst time of my life but good friends and family support made it a whole lot easier so stick with it!

Once she is better it wil definately make you and her a better person, it completely changed the way i look at life and i actually valued life a lot more than i did prior.

best of luck

what makes it worse, is her mum and dad split up a couple of years back which hit her hard, mum has a new BF who lives in spain, so she has moved out there Leaving her 17yr olkd daughter and Mrs Jambo who needs all the help/support she can get

So she lives with me and i look after her 100%, my family have been really supportive and helpfull making things a bit easier..

Thanks for all your kind words

Really sorry to hear about this it almost brought a tear to my eye

When you say she wasnt feeling well what were her symptoms? Ive seen this happen so many times where people just dont feel well and eventually go to the docs and get bad news!

Fingers crossed everything works out x

she has kidney infections alot, and her spleen needed "flushing" every 6months or so, they just couldnt seem to repair it, then did more tests and found out she had it.
Probably had it for 5+years without knowing/treatment

Sorry to hear this m8 . Best of luck to Ms Jambo and her ongoing treatment. Pretty lax by the doctors of on early diagnosis but throwing blame around aint gonna solve the issues at hand. Hope she makes a full recovery soonest.
