Ive said to everyone that my car seems slow, becuase i can remember what my old GSi was like, but everyone replied with the same answer, "its becuase your used to the power of the M3"
we were rolling in 2nd then both put our fut down, and he pulled away then into third he pulled away more then 4 even more WTF
My car has an inlet and a full system BTW.
What could be wrong with it?

I won many a Zetec S in my VTR and my VTR got beat by IvIark Grahams 1.4 Sport so Id say theres summat up with yours

Standard Zetec S with 70 odd k and yes mine has a sports cat.
it does seem slugish, and my car has 82K so i wouldnt say it was old and tired.

The cat in my old car decided to disintegrate and a chunk of the ceramic stuff inside lodged itself half way down the exahust causing a blockage, and obviously that made the car really slow.

And no the rings are fine, it doesnt smoke at all.
what revs do the inlets normally kick in? mine starts to pull at 5000 RPM which is way too high imo

i raced a zetec-s in my 1.6 sport the other night, and i pulled away quite tidy...and i know he was racing because it was my mate and we pulled over after we raced and he was imperssed with my car

i just raced a saxo vts. was quite close but i was going a touch quicker than it.

I had a play with a Zetec S when mine was standard, before the Lexmaul etc, and mine beat it.
Yours should have hammered it tbh Mike.
