...on your other half for birthdays / christmas?
Other thread got me thinking, £1k of handbag and shoes is a lot
Personally I'm in the <£100 category, she'd actually get really annoyed if I spent any more, but we are supposed to be saving. You can get meaningful presents easily for £50-£60.

Whatever I can comfortably afford at the time. Spent about £600 the christmas just gone but would normally be around £150

Can't afford much at the moment being a student, so less than £100

I normally spend ~£100-£150, but I'm still a student. We don't buy eachother massivaly expensive gifts so we can use our money to go out places

Depends what they are wanting. Generally no more than £150. Much more is getting silly unless its something a one off and something special.

Don't take the internet so serious, as if that's why I buy my missus presents. CS is a class read at times.

Gf's 18th in August last, gave her £20 for her first driving lesson.
I dont see why just because its a birthday that there has to be masses and masses of money spent, i could get them an expensive present because i want to, not have to.

I haven't, I believe you should treat your other half, i was laughing at Brett trying be outspoken to appear cool on the internet.
Shelley, I'm a big believer in having what you want aslong as it's affordable, so if the other half wants something or I surprise with something I think she may like, then it will happen, and it's the other way around too.
