I'm betting that 75% don't know what G20 is or what is going on.

The other 25% are just jealous because bankers get paid more than them.

That is all.

I think Hedgehog Dave and Swampy just made a few phone calls for their monthly ruckus tbh.

They want to be gathering outside Superdrug or Boots demanding free soap for all.

G20 is where the heads of top 20 country economies meet to discuss basically the finances of the world.

Think the main thing is the recession. And creating a governing body to control the aspects of the banks to ensure this economy crises doesn't happen again is one of the things on the adgenda.

There so much more too it though.

Protesters are protesting everything though. The war, protesting against the banks and bankers who ballsed the country up, protesting about companies shutting due to the crises and not being lent money (hence people loosing their jobs, going on dole, hence going exactly against what the government is saying they are preventing...).

So many reasons to be there and to join the cause. I'd be there too if I didn't have to take a days holiday.

But I think they fail to see the irony.

By protesting they are actually costing the country's taxpayers even more as we have to foot the bill to police the event.

And realistically, these protests won't change a thing.

Its true....

And thats the sad truth. We live in a democracy, but really, we don't.........

We do what the government tells us we can and cannot do.

Yes but the idea is the public elects the party and leader of that party into power who then make the decisions on our behalf...

Oh wait...

I agree Cosmo, end of the day someone has to do it, order has to be kept, and it is just picking the best out of a bad bunch. You can never please everyone. ( I'm not saying they do a good job, just saying it is unlikely anyone else would do much better)

Things that are out of order should be sorted out quicker, like all this MP expenses stuff, it has always been known what has gone off and should never been allowed to happen. The benefits system, and other things that could be tightened up.

I didn't vote in labour.

I also don't like Brown.

Problem is these days, who do you vote for? I had this "debate" with my boss, he said "well if you don't like it start your own office and run for local elections"

Sure I said, please pass the £100k+ of taxpayers money so I can start my campaign

I think people have a right to voice their opinion. The trouble always comes when rent a mob turn up and start attacking the Police and smashing up buildings. It detracts from the message they are trying to send.

The only message it sends is that we have too many people who need to get a life and get a fucking job and a wash in this country.
