Thanks for your help and comments. I have found a nice template I was happy with, please can you let me know what you think?

Have personalised it and feel its has a more "professional" look to it.

Thanks

"Computer Broken? Do you need It Support?"

It should be that instead of a comma, dunno if you care about the grammar at the moment, with it being a rough site at the moment, but that's the first thing i saw, sorry

Other than that, it's a nice simple website, does all you need it to do

Out of interest, is this just something you're doing in your spare time, or are you setting it up as a proper business?

A mate of mine has been trying to persuade a couple of us to do something like this for months now

So far so good...

Yeah, that's pretty much our situation, i'm a postie, so finish at 2ish everyday, therefore got afternoons/evenings free, and he's a "student" essentially has all day every day free, but he doesn't drive, that's the main thing. Also the liablility if things go wrong and complaints seem too much effort for me really.

Someone has just set one up round here charging £40 for callouts!

I have a low rate until I can get a decent customer base. Then wil lrase my price a bit. But at the moment prices cover petrol and inital costs, business cards etc. Why not try it? You obviously have to invest a fair bit of time!

Too much text IMO.

This is one I put together when I was thinking about going contracting:

Yeah, think that's what is putting me off, the time and effort thing, also, don't wanna lose my spare time really.

Fixed my mates soundcard the other day, just needed drivers re-installed, which was easy enough, guess i could charge people who don't know about PC's £25 for that

Actually there is only too much text on the front page.

The rest are ok.

Perhaps move your list of services to a "services" page?

Yes what I have always thought, but how else can I break it down? Or keep it simple and inform potential customers?

Also your feedback page says "Contact us" at the top.

And you spelt Blu Ray wrong.

Is this website just for your services? How have you got 20 years experience?

but its blu-ray. not blue ray.

a website is like a cv, the moment people see spelling mistakes they look away.

spell check and triple check before uploading

just a few more pointers.

when you first load a web page, customers only see 20% of information because they get distracted.

so make sure your home page has the "wow" factor.

if i want to use your services, i want to know if your any good, so put your feedback on page 1. also, change the word feedback to testimonials. its the same meaning word, but has a lot more professionalism to it.

also, your comment of over 20 years experience will actually deter customers. straight away people will assume you have been fixing pc's for over 20 years, and this in turn will lead to people questioning if your being honest, as people assume pcs have been around for 10 years or so. i understand you mean 20 years combined with other people, but this doesnt come across.

i would rephrase it so it says something like "with over 20 years of combined experience in the IT field" or similar.

the picture on the tariff link shows a calendar from 2007. straight away i would be questioning why it isnt 2009. there nothing wrong with it, but customers will question it.

"Our staff of Microsoft Qualified Technicians and are experts in this field however we do also have vast expertise in a broad range of machines and software applications."

the above sentence is grammatically confusing.

try " as well as having the ability to deal with any problem no matter the scale, our staff are also Microsoft Certified and can assist with.......etc etc"

all in all i applaud your efforts, but always remember to make a belting first impression.

best of luck

Your logo looks like 'lickit Support' and not 'Clickit Support'

You say your site is XHTML 1.0 strict - I've just done a check and found 67 errors
