hi there could someone post up a pic of the underside of the cts wiring ? think this may be the cause of my problems the black cable that goes under it isnt connected thanks

the black cable that goes under the cts should have a spade connector on it, this goes just below the cts on a pip its a little hidden but it is there, take a quick look it is really explanatry when you see it.

ive took the cts wiring off and i still cant see a spade connecter, i can see a little o ring thing, any1 shed any light? will go get pics of it now

sounds like a scooby and takes a while to start and puts lots of smoke out on start up

missing then... would try pulling the plugs out and checking which cylinder is missfiring..
would say it could be something silly like the tops of the spark plugs have come loose.. have seen a few 14xe 16xe and c20xe doing this

have a look at the MAP sensor pipe see if its split.. as it makes your car run shit if it damaged

A vac pipe on mine went and made it run like shite, cut an inch of, stuck it back on and ran perfectly

where is this pipe? theres a vac pipe right next to the right hand side of the head and its got slight cracks in it, could this be it?

Might be, they tend to perish after years of use. They are the ones that are about 10mm thick made of rubber leading to the map sensor i think. (hey are around the area infront of the coolant bottle on a x16xe engine)

there are a lot of vacume hoses. One runs from the inlet manifold to the map sensor, (fairly thick hose) one runs to the fuel tank vent valve, one to one way valve to secondary air pump. All have to be good hoses or it would not run right.

Thats not the map sensor, the map sensor is bolted to the bulk head usually.
