Sold one of those guitars on ebay. In fact, I've sold a few now without hassle.
Here's the advert. The same one I've used for every sale.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280331691254
I get this 2 days later...

I have just received Guitar Hero PS3, unfortunately the disc/game is missing which is part of Guitar Hero, it cannot be used without it. Please reply my mobile number is 07962228119. Jackie Gallacher.

Hi,
The auction wasn't for the game, just a guitar?
I haven't tried to mislead you in any way. What is pictured/stated is what has been sent.
You'll notice on ebay that guitars with game fetch more around the £50 mark, as they retail at about £60 in the shops.
Hope this is ok.
Thanks

Hi You stated it was brand new, hence misleading the public to beleive it was as it would be if purchased from the shop. Why on earth would anyone pay £35.52 without the disc/game, which when purchased seperately would cost £39.99, making the complete item £75.50, when you could purchase complete from Game for £59.99? I suggest that you word your adverts correctly in future as I will telling ebay and paypal. My Grandson used his Easter money and pocket money to purchase this item, e is terribly upset, I hope you feel very pleased with yourself. Jackie
Seriously, am I in the wrong here? Couldn't be clearer as far as I'm concerned
It's people like this who ruin 100% feedback scores because they're total fuckin idiots
Karma for scamming free guitars I suppose

at karma.
but on a serious note, she has no right to moan, but she's right about wording the auction a little differently. with a contents list etc.

But it says "Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar" and "Item Type: Game Controller". Everything pictured is what she got. Is there a game pictured? Nope.

Tough shit. Ask her why she paid £35.52. She obviously got into a bidding war. Not your fault it went for that.

Read between the lines.

My Grandson didn't read it and convinced me to bid, which I did without reading either. He used his Easter money and pocket money to purchase this item, e is terribly upset but has learnt a valuble lessons in life, specifically Ebay; read before you bid. I am grateful for you giving my family and I a harsh lesson. I hope you feel very pleased with yourself. Jackie

I would reply and say 'it's because they're a soft cunt who can't read'.

I wasn't too harsh...

It is BRAND NEW. You can purchase guitars on their own, you know, otherwise how would you have a multiplayer game without needing to purchase the game twice? Just because it says brand new you've made a stupid assumption because you clearly don't understand the game or the accessories that can be purchased.
The advert clearly states "Game controller" and the advert says "Guitar hero GUITAR". Not one place does it say a game is included. I've had 6 successful sales of exactly the same item.
Have you or have you not received everything EXACTLY as pictured? Yes you have, so there's no arguments.
You know what they say about assumption. It's you who's ruined your grandsons easter, not me.
Tell ebay or paypal and they will agree with me. I have proof of your receipt anyway.
I await your apology.

The stickers could be a bit misleading as i thought it was a game but then its not even like a PS3 game box.
She clearly has read all details, ie Item Type: Game Controller
Unfortunately you can't leave negative feedback for that bint now? and will leave negative feedback for you
All your other buyers seemed to get it

Why would you assume what is in the picture?
What is wrong with reading the damn auction? Are people that stupid?
There's a box looking thing in the picture, therefore I'm going to assume it's a game and bid more?
These people need lessons like this.

I would choose £150 in my hand and a neg over a great trading record and no ready money
Put it another way - would you pay £150 to remove it No.
