Advice needed

I'm lazy and do no exercise AT ALL

I'm not as toned as I'd like it to be. Problem is I haven't a clue what's the best exercise to do to help me tone up. I don't want to join a gym or anything, would rather do something on my own and something I could do outdoors since the summer nights are looming. I was going to take up jogging/running but have no idea if this would help tone up stomach muscles etc or what targets I should set? I'd mucho appreciate any advice

jogging or any other cardio excersise with a good diet will lower body fat,

If you want to tone your stomach, you only really need to do sit ups crunches ect, I dont know anything about sit ups though, I never bother

Diet is deffo the hardest thing to perfect though

eat healthy and work hard, personally i found i lose more body weight from doing weights over cardio. for example 30 mins of weights as suppose to a 90 min cycle or jog

Thanks folks, I know nothing about excercising

And yeah I do need to look at my diet aswell! Colin and me eat out A LOT, we'd rather go out for a nice meal that clubbing tbh I can still squeeze into size 8 jeans, but it is a bit of a squeeze where it never used to be, so I want to do something about it now rather than it keep creeping on !

eating out is no bad thing, just stop eating when you feel full

tuna chicken turkey and fish are good to build muscle, which is basically what you do to tone. rice and pasta are good too

its a pitty chips fish and saussage from the chippy is no good, Id be great then

if your using weights I reckon you should be doing between 15-18 reps to tone up

you should feel it burning between the 15th and 18th

well personally i would set yourself targets, even if u start with small weights and do lots of repetitions thats what will give you more of a toned figure.

as long as you eat a healthy balanced diet and do this you should lose bodyfat and look more toned anyhow.

your not going to need to consume masses of chicked, tuna etc unless your planning on putting on masses of weight

1 rep is one movement, a set is a group of movements

so 3 sets of 18 reps means you do 18, 3 times, I dont know how long you should rest between sets though? cause I train with 2 other lads

Random fact: Colin bought a weight set off me many years ago! I never used but I really should start doing some form of exercise now though. I want to start cycling and go swimming.
