VERY conservative estimate.
that enine was running around 240bhp a good 3-4 years ago. Owner is on here, NikkiJamie I think. Lives in Kent.
Never seen it in real life, but seen a couple of videos, and tbh I expect this car to actually be quicker the the "Legend" that was LuckyB!!!!!
And thats a claim!!!!!!!

what ever power it is claimed it made 1bhp diffrence on the rr and the engine dyno, proper build

Its always been on twin carbs, and just always made big power. I remember years ago it making 240+....
Luckys was "claimed" 250bhp, but no-one ever saw anything to back that up, but it oblitorated anything with circ 220bhp odd, so no-one doubted it.
this however has a fully stripped shell, lightweight everything, powerfull engine.. As you say, proper job.
JR, in fact, buy this, save yourself shed loads of effot on J18!!!! And save thousands...

One thing I regretted from owning mine for so long was not geting more videos of it.
Honestly though, u'll think u'll really miss it, and you might do for a few days.
But then things change, you get into something else, and its soon forgotten.
I loved my corsa, but i'd never own another one (other than a town a-b car) ever again.
U'll find something else to spark your interest and spend all your money on that instead
