I have decided i have enjoyed the uk for long enough, its time to spread my wings and try some other countries.
Basically, i'm 28 this year, and have never had a passport, its not like i ever needed one, i just always though, whats the point of going abroad when there is so much to see & do in the uk.
So, basically, i need some ideas of where to go, i'm quite picky, so its going to be tough to meet my needs!
So...
Looking to go the week after the kids go back to school in september (2nd week i think? )
English speaking (or a language that is easy to grasp, i have no 2nd language)
Temps can't be too hot, but i would like some sun (told you i'm picky )
No crazy foods
No sitting on beaches all day, i like to get out & about doing activities, sightseeing, animals and that sort of stuff.
I will be going with the girlfriend, so no red light districts.
Also, nothing mad expensive, i'm used to spending like 500quid tops for a week
Thanks & appreciate any advice given

If you're only going for a week, you don't want to go too far.
Egypt? Might be a bit hot for you though.

Did actually look at flights for meheeco, but still around 600 for flights i think!
Would love australia, but 700quid just for one persons flight is a bit too much atm.

Id recommend somewhere like Costa Del Sol, or even better Paphos in Cyprus.
From Paphos you have the mountains and all the ex-army bases to go and look round which are interesting, as well as the ghost town of Famagusta, etc.

Egypt sounds good, sand, big pointy buildings, scorpians though? im a bit shortsighted when it comes to going abroad, the missus is sort of pushing me to go, i'd be happy about cornwall again, nice place.

WTF there is stuff on the front page for like £2.50 per person per night.
That might be accommodation only but thats a bargain.
Is that some kind of joke site

Gib is ok but you wouldn't want to spend a week there as you'd run out of things to see and do. Gib is really a one day thing if your staying in Spain.
Either of the Costas are nice, maybe try one of the canary isles, Tenerife or Lanzarote maybe? Both nice places.

Florence (Firenze) is a really good spot for you. I went there on a business trip a couple of years ago, ticks all your boxes! Really nice place to take the mrs, loads to see and do, not too hot. Its not on the coast so no beach if that bothers you?
Edit: Its right by the tower of Pisa which is cool to see, and the Statue of David

That Aldi site is cheap, but they are all look like the place off that Benidorm with jonny vegas in
Tenerife looks like a nice place, Florence also, but that looks over populated with tourists.
Is there anywhere that isnt too busy? i know its a bit much to ask.
Thanks for the ideas, i've been looking into all of them.
