The case was around £280, 7" touchscreen TFT

Asus M2N-E mobo
AMD 64 x2 5000 CPU
1GB RAM (Easily upgraded though)
80GB HDD (Although any size could be put in there, I'd also do a deal on filling it with films/tv epidoes and HD films if anyone was interested)
Geforce 8500GT graphics card with HDMI out
USB Wifi card included
Pioneer DVD-RW drive

Any idea how much I should ask for? Anyone interested?

The case on its own was £280 so you're getting a fiver off that and all the internal bits for free

Right, here's some pics...

Flip down panel on the front with USB, sound and firewire connections, plus a memory card reader

Big heatsink on the chipset, no fan. Copper CPU cooler on the CPU with a large fan, it was the biggest (hence slower fan and quieter) cooler I could fit in there

Graphics card is also fanless

6 onboard SATA connectors (The C drive in there is IDE, which means all 6 are free for more storage)

and two sticks of decent RAM. Theres another 2 slots free for upgrades too

hehe, ill let u off then
Yeah, it cost about £550 to build about 6 or 7 months ago but my parents never use it so its a waste of money really. I figure the sooner they sell it again the more money they will recoup back.

to be honest, no bluray support, no hd audio ( i believe that that graphics card is not able to produce hd audio), the size of iit and a lacking storgae space means that this is less of a bargin than made out. Yes i appreciate it cost a lot but what you can get new for the same price is unreal

It has got SPDIF out as well, It was connected to a home cinema receiver and played DD/DTS no problems. I had a look on ebay and saw similar specced ones (the basic internals) for £500, and they were in plain cases not ones with built in full colour touchscreens. a 1TB HDD is £60 now brand new, so that and another 1GB of RAM would make them the same spec for way under £500, plus you get a decent case.

it is quite a bargain tbh, the internals are a nice spec, yeah no blu ray but you can pick a drive up for £60 now, and theres few genuine HD audio graphics/soundcards for less than £100 quid, like the xonar hdmi ect.

I dont bother with bluray cos I download all my HD content, hence it not having a bluray drive. I think its a pretty good price too to be fair - fair enough if the internals were in a standard £20 case with a noisy PSU etc., but you gotta remember that the price of the case wont depreciate anywhere near as fast as the components will.

Maybe interested.

How big is the case exactly, or a link to the exact one? I've been looking at building myself a media server recently anyway - this could be exactly what I'm after......

Oh, and a HDD filled with films would be awesome

I think that's very well priced tbh, for me the case is too big for what i'm after tho.

What's the use of the front panel out of interest? Can you use it as a small monitor essentially? e.g Scroll through films etc while watching stuff through the machine?

Yeah you can, just use it as a touchscreen monitor. Handy for putting on music without having to turn on the tv . It also plays winamp visualisations etc, and the case comes with some bespoke software too but I never got around to installing it before I had to leave again (the pc is my parent's and i set it up for them one weekend when i was back but ran out of time!)

and yes while i appreciate that as i said before hand what you can get for the same money imo you can get something better and newer. But thats the way it goes, people spend thousands on cars etc and they might be a brilliant spec but your never going to make what us worth as theres always something cheaper if you get me
