Right, if any of you guys have stumbled upon my project thread then you might know I'm having some trouble with front wheel bearings

So, I shall start - do I need to use a different wheel bearings rather than standard Corsa ones for the XE hubs?

Does anyone want to have a little stab at a basic tutorial for pressing in the bearing and hub. This is to see if I am going wrong somewhere...

Your help is appreciated

Try getting some fresh hubs of a 1.2,1.0l corsa ect and pressing 2 new bearings in, my mate had this problem and found it was the outer hub assembly that was slightly warped and was puting the bearings out of shape(oblong) and was goin through them, like cigarettes,

so get to unmolestered hubs fit 2 new bearings with your motorsport inner hubs and give that a bash

Haha You're right enough, maybe they are...

Just seems strange to me when the original car never shat a wheel bearing in 10 years then it throws it's toys out the pram when it sees the XE

True, I'm just suspicious...

Stripped it down to this a minute ago, there isn't any play with the hub in the bearing! What's going on!

So basically I think that dimension is too large, hub nut is at the correct torque so I will buff down the carrier a little so it doesn't rub in the disc

no not stupid

ive had the exact same problem with mine,

when i put the 2Lbrakes on mine(had to downgrade from V6 wheel option) i came across this on both sides from having m tech hubs, when the caliper and disc is on does the disc sit on the piss as if its not butted up against the side opposite the caliper, if so i had to grind my calipers down where they sat to the hub to make the discs line up
