I need my ears syringed, so annoying. It's been years but I can't put it off anymore... so for anyone that knows, I've been putting olive oil in for the last few days to soften it up as they said it's gotta be done for about a week last time.

Woke up this morning and completely deaf in my left ear, this is usually how I've been waking up... but usually after a quick route around I can make it a bit clearer! But it ain't working today routed until it hurts and thumbs over nostrils and blown and it's maybe 5% clear I can just about hear something.

Now obviously it's the weekend so I can't get the syringing done today even if I wanted too it's pissing me off sooo much. Any tips to stop me going from insane, as I'm meant to be going out soon and I hate it.

I've heard of that, but will it clear it for today? Or just do some good towards the actual syringing, if you get me.

I had the same thing once, put up with it for 3 days and was about to go the docs to get it syringed. Got a cotton bud and some really hot water and manged to free it. Funny thing when it all popped my knees went. Proper knocked me off balance. Don't dig too far. I thought I had pierced my ear drum but was lucky. Don't mess about if you think the blockage is too deep.

Sodium bicarbonate does the same thing as the oilive oil but some says its more effective so could be worth a go.

Couple of quid over the counter so could be worth a shot

Nice. Syringing has never hurt me?

Well my mum was going up the chemist anyway so told her to pick me up some bicarbonate... when she got apparently the guy there said there's no point, if anything, olive oil is slightly better?

Anyway he said to put a bit more in, then have a warm bath and put my head under water and massage it, and it might clear it.

Made it worse in my deaf ear after a route or blow I could get that 5% clear feeling, now can't get that, completely fooked. Even my right ear feels worse now

So guess I'll gotta live with it until monday morning. But I don't I can go out tonight it just feels too horrible, and playing music or anything loud just makes it worse! Sitting in on the internet for another weekend then... doh!
