Looking for somewhere to go for a few days in July for Colin's b/day.
Thought Wig Wams look fun ........ Colin would love them
http://www.4windslakelandtipis.co.uk/c/tipi-locations.html
but then I found this wee cottage, with all the luxuries that the Wig Wam doesnt have that I would love .......

Bishop Monkton is ok, nothing special. If you head about 30mins north into Swaledale it's a beautiful part of the world. Awesome driving roads, and not far from the Tan Hill Pub, the highest pub in England. There's also an excellent driving road used for a tarmac rally stage, going from Reeth to Bishop Auckland. Where there is a privately owned confectioners and chocolatiers, so something for both of you.
Or just go and get smashed here: http://www.blacksheepbrewery.com/
Used to have a holiday cottage there. Best part is that where we were was in a valley, no mobile reception so you can actually relax. There is an outside chance you might get run over by a tank near Catterick Garrison though...
