I hate that about that type of fight, watch a ko compilation and they are all the same, they get a clean knock out and the other guy goes flying but they still try to keep smacking them, wtf

exactly clean knock out and then they feel the need to probably do more damage than the knock out kick of punch done

I do agree, although it's a possibility that some people do it as they don't realise they have been knocked out and want to win via KO (and the fact it isn't against the rules for them to hit 'em when they're down).

That's not the fighters fault, that's up to the ref to be aware and stop the fight. The fighter is in there to win until he's told he has, he doesn't have time to wonder if his opponent is fit to continue or not.

Kicks to the head are illegal within UFC as well as long as the opponent has at least one knee on the ground.

Nup, they themselves may have been rattled over the head umpteen times as well. You'll find fighters generally can't tell you what happened during a fight without watching it again, they are focused solely on knocking out their opponent.

If they put someone on the canvas and don't follow it up with a ground and pound they'd get nowhere.

Yup. Like the Liddell vs Sobral fight. Liddell had him down and rattled him in the face a few times, but that didn't stop Sobral trying to get up. He was so damaged he actually started wrestling the referee, trying to get up. It's like in Fitbaw, if a player thinks he's borderline offside, he isn't going to stop and wait for the ref's approval Like all sports, you go to the whistle!
