Recently bought a corsa merit with 12 months m.o.t for £80
Needed a new wing and bonnet, £25 later and it looked good.
Today is how the car ended up, the engine was abit tired so
decided to have it as a project car and get the engine out
Will be making it all tidy and hopefully a 1.6 8v to go in if i can
find one close and cheap enough
This is how the car came, real sorry paintwork thanks to rich h
for advice on cleaning it up, spot on mate didnt have enough
money to buy your products so i used cheap versions will use
you next time !
The future plans are as follws, need to get a job first !
- Post 97 white bumpers
- Rear tailgate with boot spoiler
- 1.6 8v engine
- 4 branch manifold + cat back system
- Calibra leather interior + Subtle Silver interior plastics
- Lowered 60mm all round
- Cav slab alloys - Maybe tigra
- Smoked Depos
- GSi rep skirts
- General tidy up including a new drivers door
This is how the car came to me -
After I put a new wing on and gave it a clean it looked like this -
As you can see the paintwork came up great, needs a drivers door.
After deciding to keep the car as a project i took the engine out -
Hopefully i will shortly have a job to buy a new engine and continue,
as for now all i'll be doing is cost free things such as cleaning, stripping
and making it nice and tidy, comments and suggestions welcome

all the ones i find seem to be 200 miles + away
i dont have the knowledge to do a 1.8 / 2.0
so i will stick with a 1.6 1st then see
im learning as i go along

it was lookin a little something like this when we finishd it!
right..work soo far..
since i got it home i decided to go for the stripped out race look, also subtle and low!
i have:
-added my corsa sport exhaust system
-fully stripped it out from back seats, to front and bak door cards, roof lining, most interior plastics, carpet, etc. and removed that black sound deadin stuff from the back (which ways a tonn!!!hah.) also put my 2 sri seats in the front! also had to make a DIY interior light holder out of the old sun blind holders!! hahah.
(just need to finish removin the seatbelts!ha.
- de badged / de stickerd it!
- also fitted clear side reps and colour coded mirrors
- put my white 13"s on it! STILL NEED TO FIT MY 60MM LOWERING KIT COZ ITS WAYY TO HIGH FOR MY LIKIN ATM!!LOL.
-fitted my clocks with a rev counter outa my old corsa.
-then added the subtle silver painted interior bits and also some checkerd bits and my carling mat that i got from work! lol.
THINGS TO DO...
-lower it!!!
-checkerd roof
-general tidy up..
-front and rear struts (maby a cage too)
-bucket seats and harnes's
-put my post 97 bumpers on, also my gsi spoiler
errrrm.... cant fink of much else atm!lol.
il keep ya updated when i can. cheers, ben
