Bought a scooter tonight, immaculate like showroom condition, well impressed.

Anyway, lad hasn't had it long (May) and hasn't got the V5 through yet but has the green slip, obviously previous owner hasn't sent V5 off to DVLA.

I've got the green slip that he got and MOT certificate, is there anything I can do to get the V5 to me instead of messing around with trying to find the V5 that's supposed to be going to this lads house?

Green slip has the current owners details in it, he wrote it all out when he bought it.

Yeah see I could do that but times being quoted on their website are putting me off.

20-30 days FFS

What I am thining of doing is tippexing this lads name out the New Keepers Supplement and taxing the bike so I can use it then applying for V5 saying I haven't recieved the V5 yet

His influence is taking hold of me.

I'll give DVLA a ring in a bit as there is a number on the back of this green bit of paper to use when you haven't recieved the V5.

Tip ex is fine, we used to do it all the time at the dealership. Just make sure it hasnt been stamped to say its been used to tax a vehicle or you will have to pay £19.50 to apply for a V5 in your name.

Should be fine, might get your cbt cheaper aswell as your not hiring a bike. To be honest though your better doing your cbt on a geared bike..

Arite, thought you were starting from scratch. Only reason I said that was to have the experience of using gears but if you can ride then use your own and get it cheaper. Take it you had a cbt but its gone over its 2 years?

Yeah my CBT expired in 2000 Its £130 quid for CBT without a bike and £110 with your own bike.

I had an RS years ago and riden dozens of geared bikes over the years.

W-reg, I cannot believe how mint it is. You see adverts for bikes and they say they are immaculate but this one is brand new.

Just got to somehow sort out this V5 issue.
