Off for a stag do there on Saturday.
Going to the races in the day then out on the piss at night. None of us have been before so dont have a clue where to go on the night. Any suggestions or is it all pretty good?

I'm not taking my car as its meant to be pretty bad for car crime? Didn't tell the other people I'm travelling with that was my reason for getting a lift with them

I live near there, Yet ive only been once
When I went up a lad had been murdered out side one of the clubs the night before .
It was stupidly packed, as in not even being able to see the bar never mind get to it.
The casino is meant to be quite good, but Ive never been and no one I know really goes there.

i think nottingham is awesome. brilliant nights out! girlfriend is at uni there and has seen a bit of trouble but no more than any other city.

That's not right - Sheffield is one of the safer cities; it's certainly below Liverpool, Manchester & Nottingham.
Nottingham isn't that bad. The ex lived there and I visted all the time. Not once did anything happen to the car or to me.
Most of the pubs/bars/clubs are either good or better. There's nothing I can remember being particularly awful.

In fairness to Nottingham, I think it's the same as most places, if you know where to go and where to avoid you'll be fine. It is meant to be a good night out. I've lived in Derby for 8 years or so, and still haven't out in Nottingham. Probably should of done by now

Nottingham is alright, I think Birmingham is worst!!!
There is alot of totty there though usually around a ratio of 4-1 women to men

I did hear the other day that the women-men ratio is because of Nottingham having a big silk industry in the past, and that the main ratio of women was because they all worked in that industry, so there's a lot of women in Nottingham, but they're apparently all 60+
