I'm definately going to have to invest in a bit of soft knee armour. I can almost guarantee I will come off on that

Been looking and its not that far from me. But its on some real shit slow going roads. I want to commit suicide everytime I drive on that road towards Skipton

I'm going here at last! Making the trip over tomorrow night after work. Been over Garburn Pass twice in the past week so this should feel pretty easy in comparison I hope.
I've got a new A4 Avant S-line Quattro at the moment to lump the bikes about in too

I got it in January.
Changed the tyres for a Maxxis High Roller front and a Minion rear, put that front mudguard on (does work really well and looks ok too) and DMR V8 pedals on so far. Going to change the stem next for a shorter one.
I probably posted my old bike in the Mountain Bike thread you are on about
Cheers Fro

Yeah I love mine. They make some nice bikes and always seem to get good reviews in mbr magazine.
I will try to remember to take my camera tomorrow to get some pictures of what Gisburn looks like now as its meant to be completed. But I'm really bad at remembering to take it with me!

Just got back in now.
Its ok but very very worn. Hully Gully (the pic in my first post) is absolutely awesome, those berms are huge but totally rideable. It was closed for maintenance but we went on it anyway. It was about the only section that was smooth with no big ruts. I did the chute down the steep slab on the black section too. Apart from that its fairly average. It could be quite a lot better if it wasn't so rutted. Its just knackered basically.
Vid I found of the slab. Its feels bloody vertical when you are going down it, looks nothing on this video

70 degree slope 15/20ft drop apparently
only way to see how steep it really is is to get yourself there and go down it I just went for it, if I'd stopped at the top and had a look at it I'd of chickened out
