If they're old then fair enough.
I personally wouldn't have a cuppa in the local pub. Not the kind of thing to do

I've been in my local and had a cup of tea plenty of times. Admittedly it's usually first thing in the morning when the place is empty and I've just stopped in for a chat but most of the time when I go to the pub I'm driving so so what if I want a cuppa

So if you go to a pub you have to drink alcohol?
Some people prefer the atmosphere in a pub as opposed to a coffee house

What about designated drivers?
I think its perfectly acceptable to drink tea or coffee in a pub.

Well thats their problem. Not yours.
As long as they don't steal your jacket, i don't see why this would upset you.

I have my own mug behind the bar in my local
Saying that I work there on a Saturday night so I'm entitled! I don't mind it as all tbh; The tossers are the people who say there's too much beer in this shandy - bloody southerners

In all honesty; When I used to run the pub/restaurant I used to love selling tea and coffee - it was far more profitable than beer.
Teabag 0.5p
Hot Water incl rates etc 1p
Sugar 0.5p
milk 2p
washing up 10p(pot wash wages etc)
so about 14p for a Tea which I sold for £1.50
a beer was making about 25/30% for comparison
