Manager took us all off one by one yesterday to go through our performance figures for the past four weeks.
She commented that I was clearly unhappy in my work and maybe I should think wether I want to keep working there or leave if I don't like it. I said I didn't like doing the phone cover every 2 weeks, to which she replied that it was never going to change and if I wasn't going to like doing it I should leave.
Then of course there was that FB comment from the other thread. Plus apparantly she told somebody that my phone voice wasn't very good. I'm a bloke from Yorkshire, thats how we speak!
So, I'll be the 8th to leave in 2 months
So I've now got 4 weeks to find a new job

Dont hand your notice in, as it looks like she is trying to force a few people out, sounds like she may of been told to cut costs if she can.
How long have you been there? May be best to stick it out and see what money you can get for them to get rid of you.

Recently I've been doing my regular admin work, coaching two people and checking their work and being made to answer help desk calls as they're short staffed. Getting pulled in all directions as the saying goes.

Dont quit until you get a new job. Even if its soul destroying its better than having no job, fuck all money, and in a time where jobs are hard to come by.
if they push you out then fine, you'll get some cash to live off why you find another job. If you quit you wont get that and could be stuck.

dont quit till you have a new job. it'll be less stressful to put up with a shit job than it will to put up with being skint.

Is it a means to an end though, i.e. it'll give you the chance in a year or so time to step up to a better paid job at a better time of day?

Jumping from £11k to £20k. Take it. You can live without a social life...but you will still get out occasionally.
Social lives are overrated imo.

I feel obliged to keep you in work, with the cross dressing trade dying off a bit, most weirdo's are getting their garments from Primark.

I get a kick out of making the appointment as much as I do trying them on.
In the last 2yrs, we've had at least 15 or so calls from men asking to come in and try dresses on. We've allowed them all to book in, and not one has had the balls to turn up
