Sorry for being rather simplistic and I haven't any photos or videos of it. But last night I look out the window and I see at a seriously stupid height some thing seriously motoring through the sky with a single flashing white light. It wasn't a plane because it was moving so much faster than when you see a plane at night, and it didn't have the red or blue lights that planes have.

Any ideas

A plane or a helicopter moving a in a direction that made it look like it was going really fast.

Sometimes planes look like they are almost at a standstill, others like they are doing 400mph.

If it was dark you'd have a hard time telling exactly how high it actually was surely.

Yeah but you normally see planes around where I live at the same height, and this thing was seriously so high up and so fast. Only had one white flash. I literally saw it, followed it with the eye for about 10 seconds and it was gone, so fast...

Space station or planet, or it could be an aircraft/helicopter, as john said due to height, weather etc it can look like it was motoring and you not seeing the wing lights.
Old man/me/brother spotted something similar about two weeks ago, personally it looked like an aircraft with landing lights on.
