Whats humiliating about that? Its a bike with a ridiculous power to weight ratio, course its going to be faster

And I'd still rather have the Lambo.

I couldn't care what the cost is. Bikes are in a different league when it comes to speed so it'd be stupid to think otherwise

Take that rose tinted viser off I love bikes, I love cars. I would love to own both a SuperL and a Gixer, but I wouldn't be 'humiliated' if that happened to me, i'd laugh it off and go and enjoy a nice drive with a comfortable passenger

a 15-20K RX7 / Evo / Scoob will still beat a Lambo, this thread is pointless.

The guy in the lambo will be smiling more when he turns up at his destination (not much slower than the bike tbh) and steps out the car clean and fresh, not looking like a power ranger.

I don't know anybody woh would feel humiliated.

At the end of the day they've got a 70k car and you've got a bike, it's not as if they aren't expecting you to pass them and if they wanted a bike they could go and buy one with the change from buying the car.

Both have pro's and cons...

Cars - Faster top speeds.
Bikes - Far superior acceleration.
Cars - Much later braking

Believe it or not, apex speeds are usually roughly the same.... Bike looses out coming into the bend, cars loose out coming out of the bend and the straights.

Cars are warmer
Many fighter pilots own bikes as its the closest thing on the road to their jets (yup, thats speaking to a few, including one who owns about 4 Benellis and is currently in Iraq ).

Bikes, you can get hurt on much easier... On the road...

BUT

On track, you can throw a bike on the floor avoiding that barrier.. In a car, your strapped in for the ride.

More G-Forces in a car.

Bikes cost FAR less for what you get (badge names, quality of kit etc..)

I like both. Nothing like braking hard and going round a bend fast in a car, the noise the push into your seat...

But...

Nothing beats hanging off the side of a bike at 100+mph, wind rushing past, the adrenaline rush and having the bike squirming underneath you.

I love both, but for me, in my position, bikes win due to Cost Vs Performance.

If I were rich, i'd have a huge selection of both..

A reventon is clearly closer to a fighter jet than an open air bike.

I dont think theres that many fighter pilots that earn enough money to pay £800,000* for a car

I find it interesting that bikers are always really quite defensive and bang on about how fast they can go for blah blah blah etc etc and most car people dont really care. Bike are cheaper than cars, so if i wanted a bike because there so much better and amazing wouldnt i just go and buy one?
