Driving seems a chore these days. Always driving for a purpose, commuting to and from work, going the shops, picking people up even just going out driving round seeing who's about.
But when was the last time you thought, im going to go and and have a hard drive!! I was thinking bout this and it seems i hardly ever drive just for pleasure.

Well i decided to go out about a hour ago (its 3.25am now), just driving, empty roads and that. It was BRILLIANT!! had a realy good time. I dont know why i dont go and JUST drive more often.

So how often do you go out just to drive?? (i bet you all do and this will be pointlesslol)

You lot might not care but i just thought id share that with you anyway

Rarely do as I do so much drive it gets annoying, however I'll occasionally be driving home, usually middle of night, and I'll have the tunes on loud, singing along, enjoying my car so will go a longer way home....

Went for a ride on a my bike yesterday, needed to give it a caining over a long distance, it only does short journeys (5 miles each way) and now its getting cold its starting to leave behind a goey mayo in the oil cap (yea I know HG but that was done 1k ago ) and taking it for a 20 mile frapping every week clears it up real nice

I think the whole random drives for fun thing gets a bit old once you've been driving a few years. I go out for random rides on the motorbike but never really random drives in the car.. Theres too much traffic on the roads lol

Not for a long time.

Doing 1.5k a month in the same car doens't inspire you to go on random drives.

Theres also too many ways now of being pulled for doing stuff, once they get you on that database you will flash up forever and will always be getting stopped

I go out for a drive quite often tbh, usually at stupid o clock after work or sundays sorta thing. Will have to cut that out though or I'll never save any money!

I think the problem is the roads.. Most of the roads in this country are CRAP and the ones that are half decent are filled with traffic

i havent been out for a random drive since i had the vx when i went for a random drive to brighton with the mrs on the back roads.
i just tend to go the scenic route when i do drive from place to place if i have time rather than using motorways

Yep, I do feel the same. If you have driven in Europe you soon come to realise just how jam packed our roads are.

Does Castle Combe count?
Otherwise it would be March when we went and found the black mountain pass.
Had a nice spirited drive along the A701 when we were in Scotland but that just happened to be a nice road that took us to the hotel we were staying at
