Katie Piper was a 24-year-old model and budding TV presenter, with a glowing future ahead of her. But in 2008 a vicious acid attack destroyed her face - and with it her career and life as she knew it.
More than a year on, and having undergone countless operations and rounds of physiotherapy, she has now chosen to give up her anonymity and tell her own story for the first time. Including CCTV footage of the attack, this remarkable Cutting Edge film follows Katie as she undergoes pioneering treatment and attempts to re-build her life, while two men stand trial for the horrific assault.
In the film Katie bravely tells her story with compelling frankness, surprising humour and an extraordinary lack of self-pity as she tries to come to terms with losing her beauty and starts a new life with a new face.

Yeah it is, saw an advert for it yesterday and it showed the CCTV, made me feel sick, was horrible.

iirc it was her ex boyfriend and his mate who had intentionally thrown acid in her face as revenge for something that had happened... cant remember exactly what though

Very sad, her whole life ruined by her cowardly ex boyfriend, stunning girl aswell before that happened. They really need to introduce the death penalty in this country for things like this, or follow other countries and dish out the punishment in the local town. Chopping fingers and hands off seems to do the trick for thiefs, we need something like that over here to sort this shit hole of a country out.
